The mission of GLIvyN is:

To build a sense of Community in Southern California among gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender alumni of Ivy League, Seven Sisters and similar colleges and universities. To maintain and expand a professional and social network of GLBT alumni/ae from these institutions. To educate others and ourselves about GLBT concerns and contributions. To promote awareness of the rich and varied cultural heritage of GLBT individuals. To strengthen ties between GLBT alumni/ae and GLBT students at these institutions. To maintain a climate of social acceptance of GLBT individuals. To undertake community service projects.
